Driving to Ottawa
Cross the border at Derby Line/Stanstead.
Once in Canada, this route avoids Montreal but requires paying a toll. Check to make sure Google Maps navigation is doing this (e.g. uncheck "avoid tolls"), or is at least going around Montreal.
- 55 Nord
- exit at 34-O (Montréal)
- 10 Ouest
- exit at 11 (Vaudreuil-Dorion)
- then go left at the fork
- 30 Ouest — toll (péage) gate partway down the road
- pay toll with credit card ($4.40)
- follow signs for 40 Ouest / Ottawa
- exit at 1 (Ottawa)
- 40 Ouest
- go all the way, crossing into Ontario
- 417 West
- follow until you're in Ottawa
- follow phone directions the rest of the way
